Parenting support
Getting to know your new baby takes time, and it can feel overwhelming. Other parents are some of the best support there is.
Last reviewed May 2026 by Dr Sarah Koffmann
Learning to read your baby's cues is a challenge for any new parent, and sleep deprivation and breastfeeding troubles can make it feel like a lot. Other mums and dads are often the best support at this time, and joining a parent group, in person or online, can be a real turning point.
The Bathurst Community Health Centre can link you in with a local parent group.
