Last reviewed May 2026 by Dr Sarah Koffmann
Bathurst Hospital has an Early Pregnancy Assessment Service (EPAS), run by the maternity unit doctors. It provides advice and management for early pregnancy complications, including bleeding and threatened miscarriage.
Sometimes an early pregnancy problem turns out to be a miscarriage. If that happens, pregnancy loss has information and the services that can help.
Pain or bleeding in early pregnancy?
See your GP, or present to the Bathurst Hospital Emergency Department for assessment. You may then be referred to the EPAS for follow up.
If you are worried, you can call Bathurst Base Maternity any time on 02 6330 5210.
